International Boarding School

Ten questions for our notable alumnus Ruslan Aybazov

1) What have you been up to since you left Rosenberg?

After having left Rosenberg, I decided to pursue a bachelor of international affairs at the university of St. Gallen.

2) What was the best thing about your time at Rosenberg?

I very much enjoyed meeting people from all over the world.

3) Which is your favourite city?

Right now my favourite city is St. Gallen. Somehow I got used to it. You have got everything you need and Zurich is just one hour away. It is “klein, aber fein!“

4) What is your favourite spot to hang out?

It depends on the moment and my mood.

5) Which place that you have never been to, is on top of your list to visit?

The United States of America and the overall Western Hemisphere! There are so many cultures, which are quite different from the European ones! Second of all, since the United States play a dominant role in today’s world, it is important to understand how things are done there.

6) Looking back at your own school time, what advice do you have for current Rosenberg students?

If you have the chance to go to a top university, do it! Other than that, be active, do not waste your precious time, do sports and pursue hobbies, communicate with friends and develop new skills. Also, value networking opportunities while you are at Rosenberg. We live in a rather small world!

7) Which person inspires you?

I am inspired by people who achieve their goals even under difficult circumstances.

8) What is precious to you?

An inner desire to keep going.

9) What are your projects for the future?

I would like to finish my bachelors degree and then apply for a masters degree. Furthermore I would like to support our family business and pursue various entrepreneurial ideas with my friends (almost all of them are former Rosenberg students).

10) Complete this sentence: "To learn to live is…“

To learn to live is to live learning.
