Ten questions for our notable alumna Ana Mislitchi

1) What have you been up to since you left Rosenberg?

I graduated in 2010 and decided to pursue my studies at the University of St. Gallen. During my studies I decided to get as much on-hand working experience as possible, and as I have always had a strong interest in financial markets I spent time working in different fields of the financial industry, including hedge fund, sales and trading and asset management. The only thing that fascinated me even more than the financial markets, was the strategic and structural problems I was confronted with. Hence, I decided to join a top management consulting firm, where I am currently working. I am based in Zurich, but my projects are all over the world – it involves a lot of traveling and a very strong time management in order to balance your private life and intense working hours.

2) What was the best thing about your time at Rosenberg?

People. I truly miss all my friends from Rosenberg, and it is very difficult to keep in touch after graduation, when everybody is spread all over the world.

3) Which is your favourite city? And why?

I feel very lucky to live in my favourite city – Zurich. I think it offers a great mix of events and a variety of places to go to as well as the typical calm Swiss environment. I also value a lot the ability to travel quickly around Europe which I often do on weekends.

As I am not often at home, I appreciate every moment spent with my family and my boyfriend.

5) Which place that you have never been to, is on top of your list to visit?

I have never been to China but it is the destination for my next vacation. I would like to spend at least three weeks there, so I can visit several cities and enjoy the food.

6) Looking back at your own school time, what advice do you have for current Rosenberg students?

First of all to be thankful to your parents for having offered you so much. Secondly, start thinking about your future as early as possible and don’t be afraid of challenges ahead of you. And lastly, try to travel as much as possible – you can only benefit from it!

7) Which person inspires you?
